A Brush With Kindness Home Dedication On CBS/KCAL!

Yesterday, it was a pleasure to share the evening with Lynwood homeowner, Marna McKinney, the city of Lynwood and my staff at our A Brush With Kindness Home Dedication.

A Brush With Kindness is a relatively new program, launched in 2007, that offers free home repairs to homeowners who are unable to make exterior and safety related repairs to their homes because of  finances, age, family circumstances, or disability.

We met Marna when we were building three, new Habitat homes next store. She was such a wonderful neighbor and patiently put up with all of the noise and debris that comes with construction. That's why when we found out she was in need of new windows, a new garage door, fence repairs and a paint job - we jumped at the chance to help her through our A Brush With Kindness program and I must say her house looks beautiful!

The very sweet, Rita Garcia, from CBS2/KCAL also joined us and covered the event! You can check out the segment that aired here and to learn more about A Brush With Kindness click here.
