We had a 29.2% increase in the number of volunteers for July and August compared to the same months in 2009! Congratulations to Deborah Lewis, our Volunteer Services Manager, and to our entire staff who help manage & encourage our volunteers on a daily basis.
During these two months we had 1,251 volunteers, who gave over 16,100 hours of service!!! That is the equivalent of 46 full-time employees and according to the Independent Sector, the value of this labor is over $375,000!
