We all love that popular song "(There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays," because it holds a lot of truth this time of year. Home plays an important role during the holiday season. It is where we gather with our loved ones to remember what is important in life - friends, family, love, laughter and a roof over our heads. For this reason, what better way to celebrate the holidays than by supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, so that more hardworking families and individuals can experience the pride and security of homeownership.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has several ways that you can help build hope, lives and communities for the holidays!
- You CAN support our annual ReStore holiday food drive. Bring in non-perishable food items to our Gardena and Norwalk locations before 12/21 and help feed a family in need this holiday season.
- Participate in our Adopt-a-Family program individually, or as a group with colleagues, to help support our 57 identified partner families.
- Visit the toy house at L.A. Live built by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, with the help of AEG volunteers, and donate a toy to Stevie Wonder's annual "House Full of Toys " benefit at Nokia Theatre on 12/18.
As always, we always appreciate new and gently used furniture, appliances, lumber and hardware donations to our ReStores. We also love to have individuals volunteer their time in our offices, on one of our construction sites and in our ReStores.
Happy Holidays from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles!
