Help Us Help Charles with Critical Home Repairs

Many people are looking for ways to give back this holiday season and there are lots of worthy causes out there. One that is very close to our hearts is helping Charles, a man who has lived his entire life with cerebral palsy, to modify his Long Beach home so that it includes a fully accessible bathroom and wheelchair ramp.

Cerebral Palsy is a neurological condition that has greatly impaired the function of Charles' arms, legs and vocal chords. For years, he has struggled with his physical disability, but has never lost his determination to live a full and engaged life. He is an active member of his church and goes to the gym four times per week to work on his arms and legs.

A few months ago, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles launched a Critical Home Repair program to assist low-income homeowners  with home repairs and modifications. Charles is exactly the type of homeowner we are trying to help with this program. But, we need the help of others in order to help Charles and others like him.

This holiday season please consider making a donation online in any amount to support our Critical Home Repair program. Also, please take a moment to learn more about Charles in the short video below.

Donations in any amount will help Charles, as well as your sharing this blog with others via Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and talking with friends.
