Neighborhood Stabilization Program Provides Stabilizing Foundation

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) was one of seven Habitat for Humanity affiliates to receive Neighborhood Stabilization funding back in 2009 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. With this funding, HFH GLA is acquiring foreclosed and vacant properties and rehabilitating them into decent, sustainable and affordable homes.

Amanda Jordan is a HFH GLA homeowner who purchased one of our NSP-funded homes. She recently blogged about how owning her own home has changed her life on Habitat for Humanity International's blog, which you can check out here.
