Juan and Patricia have been
raising their children in a small, one-bedroom apartment for the past 15 years.
Their two daughters sleep in the living room and are now quickly outgrowing
their space.
On Saturday, January 26,
Paramount volunteers joined Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) in South Gate for
a day of building to support Juan and his family. Undeterred by the rain, staff
and volunteers rolled up their sleeves to drill, shovel, and saw - many using
power tools for the first time. The crew worked tirelessly and completed
building a 168 ft fence at the newly restored residence for Juan and his
family.
Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteer
labor in order to construct simple and affordable homes for those in need.
Thank you, HFH GLA staff and Paramount volunteers, for your commitment and
generosity in helping this family.
