The easiest way to support Habitat for Humanity is through employee volunteer programs. Some companies have volunteer networks that offer to coordinate a build day; at other companies a particular department might decide to volunteer a Saturday; some others will coordinate a 'team building' day and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Two other ways to help:
1. Donate to Habitat through your company's United Way Campaign. Be sure to designate the donation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater LA. These donations are made through payroll deductions and can be as small as $5.00 per paycheck.
2. Some larger corporations have a matching gift program. If an employee makes a direct donation to Habitat, the corporation will match that gift (usually for gifts less than $2,500 per year.)
Finally, we encourage our donors to consider signing over your 'economic stimulus' checks (coming in May) to help us build more affordable homes in Greater Los Angeles.
